For all its crowds, busy streets and winding alleys, there’s something about Bangkok that just doesn’t move me to take photographs. Perhaps it’s that, apart from a few distinctive temples and the display of Thai language itself, Bangkok looks like any developed, modern city. Perhaps I’m getting jaded. However, for a few months, I took my camera out to find the weirdness behind the modernity, or at least to see if I could take photographs of the elements of the city that made me not want to take photographs.
